Well after reading the glowing comments about FireFox

I want to give it a try, and I would like to use some Add Ons,

Both for viewing and security, can some one please recommend

Which Add Ons you think are a ‘’ Must Have ‘’ along with your personal favourite

One’s…

Thanks Mumbo

These are the ones I have on mine in order of importance to me.

IE Tab - for those sites that require Internet Explorer (banks, etc.). Never have to leave FF.

Tab Mix Plus - spruces up the tabs and gives many extra capabilities to them.

FlashGot - If you have FlashGet, this makes automatic downloads much simpler and reliable

FEBE - Firefox Extension Backup Extension - self explanatory

Fasterfox - to tune performance

Mouse_Gestures - gives some extra abilities to your mouse when viewing pages.

I was using Firefox and liked it but some glitches popped up that I couldn't repair so I am now using SeaMonkey. I think all the Firefox add ons also work for SeaMonkey. I use IE Tab and Flashgot. SeaMonkey seems faster than Firefox.

I have a pre-built configuration of FireFox Portable for people who are interested such as yourself. It's about 15 MB compressed, if you're interested I'll upload it for you. I've added some handy extensions and prettied it up with a custom skin. It's stable, portable and looks great.

Same as yours plus these:

Better Gmail - improved Gmail

Bugmenot - common sites passwords to bypass registration just to read some article

Delicious - online bookmarking

Download statusbar

Fetch text URL - highight and open text URL's which aren't hyperlinked

Foxy tunes - control music from within FF

Gmail space - use Gmail as an online storage drive

Google Gears - Google app for offline web apps

Google Notebook

Greasemonkey - lots of scripts

Menu Editor - cut down the clutter in the long menus

Scribefire - for blogging

Stylish - CSS scripts and sites styles

User Agent Switcher - to bypass stupid web admins who can't build compliant sites

VideoDownloader - download videos from youtube, google video etc.

btw, for the OP's question on security there's no need for ad-ons for that, FF does a pretty job at this by itself.
