Few people in Thailand don't believe in spirits or the afterlife so it comes as no surprise that a Facebook post about ghosts and spirits is being well received.

The driver of a rescue ambulance in the north west of Thailand went on Facebook with a post about nine rules for the spirit world that he has put on the back of his vehicle.

Spirits are warned not to annoy the living, not lean out of the ambulance or travel on the roof, don't mess with younger spirits and especially don't put the driver or staff off their duties.

They were also told to get off at destinations and #9 always try to give the correct three numbers for the lottery.

Pang Sila Thong 02 rescue driver Surin Pheungtham said that the job he does was stressful enough and the nine rules were designed to bring some light relief to an often miserable job, reported Thai Rath

Netizens agreed commenting in large numbers on the story about one of Thailand's much needed rescue services, this one being in Kamphaeng Phet.

I was initially shocked by the headline "Strict rules for spirits".

I was so shocked at the thought it was another clampdown on alcohol consumption that I nearly became a spitit myself!

The spiritual Thai doesn't have much going for them, letting them have a little belief in something costs nothing.

Why should they have to follow the rest of the world?

its time our species moved past fairy tales and nonsense. the modern world has proven the majority of these things useless yet simple minds still cling to the reality of nothing.

next episode of ghost hunters is on man i gotta go.

Here's an idea,

you believe in what you want, that's your right.

let others do the same, that's their right.

Great idea and very reasonable.

But it hasn't worked well in over 5000 years because religion is itself intrinsically unreasonable.
