My GF has just received a UK VV application refusal, which has no doubt resulted in something being denoted in her passport (I haven't seen the entry for obvious reasons, but assume it's a standard stamp / text) to highlight the refusal.

Is this now likely to impact on her ability to enter other countries ? I am on the verge of relocating with work to Singapore, one of the advantages being that it will be easier to see her. However, I am now worried that a refusal to the UK for whatever reason will be detrimental to her entering Singapore on a standard "visa on arrival" basis. She visited me there several times without problem while I was working there last year, but that was prior to receiving the UK VV refusal.

Do we have anything to worry about now and, if so, is there a viable solution ?

Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge, the UK doesn't routinely share information about refusals with the Singaporean authorities, so unless the Singaporean IO sees the little stamp on the back page of your girlfriend's passport, s/he will probably be none the wiser. If s/he does see the stamp, explain the circumstances of the refusal and politely point out that your g/f has visited you in Singapore on many an occasion without incident, and that this is all that is intended in this instance.

I think that her previous visits will outweigh any negativity from the UK visa refusal.

Scouse.
