Pal Wii Games In Bangkok

Featured Replies

I've got a Wii coming from NZ and want to pick up a few games and extra controllers for it in Bangkok this weekend. Are PAL format games readily available, or are they mostly NTSC? From what I've read the Wiis here are generally US or Japanese NTSC ones, which seems odd to me as I thought the teles here are PAL. I'm not looking for pirated copies as (from what I've gathered) the PAL Wiis are not able to be chipped (yet?). If anyone can point me towards a shop I'd much appreciate it. Also, can anyone tell me a good place for Wii stuff in Khon Kaen? Thanks in addvance.

Just like with the Xbox 360 & PS3 I have yet to see any PAL games in the shops here - They have ample NTSC US & Japanese Wii games in MBK. I bought Resident Evil 4 original at MBK just this week (also have it on back-up but it is such a great game it deserved a purchase)

PAL Wiis' can be chipped as easily as NTSA ones, but generally it is best to play PAL back-ups rather than NTSC ones

Thanks for the information. So do people play on computer monitors or high def TVs to get around the PAL thing?

Pretty much every modern TV or HDTV on sale these days supports both PAL and NTSC so it's never an issue
