Can You Buy Duty Free On Arrival In Domestic Transit ?

Featured Replies

Can you purchase duty-free if arriving from an TG international flight & staying in the transit area (Not clearing Immigration & Customs ) as you are connecting on to another TG domestic flight from Suvarnabhumi ?

:o

yes you can but you have to go up to shopping area in internationa area before you go through transit gates

you will also need your boarding card from incoming international flight

In addition, there are several duty free outlet areas - just the usual booze and fags shops - sprinkled around the place before you get to immigration.

but buying dutyfree in Thailand is just silly!

Maybe,the only advantages are :

1)We have the duty free tobacco for a friend in the UK at Thai Duty Free Prices (we don't smoke)

2)We can pack it in our case,so we are not lumbered with duty free bags on the return flight home.

and will pay more than buying it in town .. and packing before you go! Duty Free in Thailand is more expensive than what you find in town
