Ebumbu
Hi expats. I've had a type O visa for purposes of retirement for ~ 7 years. My deadline for extension is October 19th. I'm American. I changed this year from the income method to the money-in-bank method. Is it possible to extend very early, such as the beginning of September or even August? I am having major surgery in October and I don't want the extra stress of dealing with immigrations while I'm recovering. I may not be able to get around well in October. Thanks! I use an agent these days at Jomtien as I got tired of different IO interpretations/paperwork requirements each year to extend. When covid travel restrictions came into force, my agent renewed up to 90 days prior to expiry. Just curious, is this different to the OP's visa/extension of stay? (i.e. 45 days?) Cheers

An agent can arrange to do things differently than when a person does it in person.
