CAAT advises Thai airlines to avoid air space over and near Taiwan

The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has issued an advisory to all Thai airlines to avoid air space around Taiwan, as the Chinese government has declared the airspace a “dangerous zone” due to its military exercises in the area.

 

All Thai airlines are instructed, by the CAAT, to adhere to China’s NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) strictly and to check regularly for any new NOTAM issued by China.

 

The announcement came after China’s Defence Ministry announced that they will stage air and sea military drills around Taiwan, from Thursday to Sunday, to protest a recent visit by US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan.

It's an absolute disgrace that Thailand are indirectly legitimising the existence of an independent Taiwanese state by providing scheduled air services there ! A disgrace I tell you.

 

Please China, don't accept this kind of public and international disrespect for your intentions to re-annex land that is rightfully yours and urgently put in place some broad economic sanctions and/or ban sale of military hardware to Thailand. If you want to flex your military muscles more openly, some live-fire naval exercises in the gulf of Thailand should do the trick to get the message through. The Thais are currently defenceless whilst they are still waiting for their submarines.

Taipei is an intermediary transit point for many airlines such as EVA. I don't see that changing anytime immediately. For the sake of Chinese war rattling.

Other than China's bloodlust to threaten/kill civilians as if it has no control over its military, civilian flights through Taiwain should continue unless China imposes a physical lockdown of Tawian airspace. 

Conformance by airlines to China's threats only bolsters its attempts to subjugate a free Taiwan.

Thank you for your fascinating links to the establishment of today's Taiwan, previously Formosa, in 1949 and the settlement of General Chiang Kai-shek's Chinese Nationalists after defeat in the Chinese Civil War to Chairman Mao's Communists. This war started in 1927 and restarted in 1946 after the end of the Second World War. It was Chiang Kai-shek who was the founder of modern Formosa (Taiwan - ROC) having decided not to re-group and attack the mainland again.

What did surprise me was this and maybe why Xi is so incensed:-

"land that's rightfully yours" - cart before the horse here; it was Chiang kai-chek who was pushed out of mainland China by the Communists, so in principle China belongs to Taiwan, not the other way round. Anyway sadly that puts paid to the holiday I was planning in Taipei unless the People's Republic gets over its silly tantrum quickly.

ROC is recorded as UN member... as for PRC they are not recorded as UN members but politics took over and they let PRC take ROC seat at the UN, same for Russia they should not be seating at the UN as the official records show the USSR is the official UN member, after China's communists took over they should have changed, same when USSR was dismantle/splitted, many new countries were created and became UN members but the "old-previous"  ones never updated their status. PRC has absolutely no rights to Formosa/Taiwan.  Chiang Kai Shek has many monuments/parks name after him in China mainland, he escaped Mao communists as to keep democracy alive, after the 1949 China had many presidents, some very leftist/communists and some more liberal and looking forward to some type of capitalistic socialism leaving Taiwan being and not bothered as Taiwan is absolutely not a treat to anybody in their neighborhood or worldwide, only Xi Jin Ping is obsessed with Taiwan, as for one China policy, Xi is right here, one China policy is for mainland China, Taiwan is not part of mainland China nor part of any China overseas territory either, thus have nothing to do with one China policy. If you known how the CPR schools teach "their own" history on Formosa you would laugh as it has absolutely nothing to do with the reality and world wide history, they make up their own books about their history, not the history the Westerners know about, China's history mention Taiwan/Formosa and south China sea as their backyard/playground, they came up with the 7, then 9 then 11 and back to 9 dash lines that nobody knows about, even the Portuguese who were in the area centuries ago never mentioned on their records the existence of the dash lines and they stay in Formosa 1544

Every now and then you see satan rising from hell and this time he came along dressed as ol' Grannie Nancy Pelosi. 

Now, as the cognoscenti know, the Republic of China, aka Taiwan or formerly Formosa, has no oil or gas. So what on Earth does the official US risk by flying in an 82 year old grouchy Grannie without the hint of manners and politeness in an official air force jet to Taiwan? 

Taiwan is the world's biggest producer of electronic chips, literally used anywhere in everything these days, their market share is more than 50%. In case of electronic issues (like a war), the Americans run dry with their arms and ammunition industry, if there are no chips available. 

Quite obviously the arms mafia in the US is of the opinion, that the People's Republic of China, aka China mainland, will do a lot of rattling with swords and sabers but will not take it more than just (more than) borderline teasing and threatening. 

We all know, that the Taiwan issue backdates to 1949, and I can only hope for world peace, that Pelosi's absolute US-selfish suborn appearance in Taiwan does not trigger off an armed conflict. Latter would escalate in no time into a full fledged war; here we could only hope that Pelosi is the first one to hand in her dinner pale. 

If the US is actively (and they would be) involved in a conflict between ROC and PRC, then it is green light for Putin to clear up the NATO mess in Ukraine and, we all know, that the US is more talk than action and they could simply not run a two-front performance of their arrogant opinion of supremacy. 

But, maybe it takes such a big bang on two ends of the planet to put the Americans there, where they belong. And, with America I refer to the official US in Washington DC and its brother- and sisterhood of a selection of the world's best criminals.

I don't read Dutch/Holandese/Netherlandese but it appears you missed a point, here it goes again, I bold it to help.... check the period of the 80 year war and you get
