I could go to a tailor here, and shell out 1500 baht for a pair of trousers. When they only cost 100 baht secondhand, it's no contest. Shorts, shoes, pants, but I'm not sure about shirts. New shirts is probably the way to go. Used jackets, sure. Used hats, probably fine. But used shirts? Nah. You might have to spend 500 on some semi-bad <deleted>, but whatever. Big C has stuff that will work for a month or two... Here is no KFC, MacDonald, and nearly no fastfood. Furthermore here are lots of hilltribes who must work hard for their own food or go/walk long ways through the mountains. They don't have a nightlife with open pubs on the mainroads, consuming a lot of beer. But walk here through our village on the main road, you will forget all ladies in the bars, nighhtclubs, beauty saloons etc, you will see slender young (boys and) girls. They don't need plastic surgery, they are slim, beautiful by nature.
