Sanook Thai Caption: Gallstones caused by coconut milk

Sanook reported widespread netizen interest in a post by a woman on TikTok after she had surgery to remove five gallstones.

It was posted under the name voucherclubhotdeal.

The lady said she had had stomach pains and bloating and pains around her right ribs.

She said she had always loved to eat "kathi" or coconut milk and other fatty stuff.

Kathi is a component of many Thai foods such as creamy curries and the iconic Mango and Sticky Rice that is covered in the stuff.

Posters related their own stories and symptoms.

Online information suggests that gallstones can form when there is too much cholesterol in the diet and not enough bile salts, though there is still doubt about why they occur, notes ASEAN NOW.

Abdominal pain and pain under the right side of the ribs are telltale signs you may have a problem that can be confirmed with an ultrasound.

Don't blame Kathi!  He's my beautiful little dog!

(Japanese Spitz, maybe? Whatever, he's my boy and I love him!)

Last I checked, no cholesterol in coconut milk.
