Fat brings the good taste. That's why I prefer ribeye steak.

Lean beef is still about 10-15% fat. Each to his own, when I eat a ribeye the fat gets shovelled aside.

My wife cooks the evening meal as she knows how many she is cooking for, also usually Thai local dishes which I enjoy

I do occasional snacks when the family decide on a somtam feed

I quite enjoy a simple eggs on toast meal ???? or a cheese and onion sandwich both of which my family would not eat

Also make my own banana muffins and brownies

Just provides me with an option for my coffee breaks

Cant remember the last time we ate out in the evening. Sometime pre covid when friends visited.

We are both good cooks with different menus and our own meals are better than anything we could buy outside with one or two exceptions.

Midday we might buy a takeaway one or twice a week but take it home to eat it.

So, you cook these or buy them out?

ps - don't worry it won't be too difficult to pick those anchovies out of that salad.. at least in the top salad, not the last one.

95% of the time we home cook....

My wife cooks western and Thai food as well as some Mexican....

Her small but mighty garden usually contributes something....

I cook once in awhile....Today I made 2 cookie sheet sized pizzas....I also make our bread.....

I have a gas wet smoker bbq that I thought I would use a lot....It just sits in our back breezeway waiting for me....

I sometimes like to bake and make pizza too. Those tacos you posted do look tasty. It looks like you put them under the broiler to melt the cheese. I'll have to try that sometime.

pizza:

tomato, black and green olives, minced red prik kii nuu peppers, caramelized onions, mozzarella cheese, feta cheese, oregano, raw chopped garlic, anchovies and homemade blanched holy basil pesto with walnuts.

Looks great.

Homemade bread!!!!

I'm kinda intimidated by yeast.  My wife actually makes the pizza dough.
