    I know it's an unpopular view but I don't think tourists should even be allowed to rent motorbikes.  They don't know the roads, they likely have no motorcycle license or experience driving a motorcycle, their inexperience and unfamiliarity make the roads less safe for drivers and pedestrians,  and, as shown here, they could care less for those of us who live here and need the roads for normal usage, not as a tourist amusement.

Harley Owners Groups are not gangs. They are a world wide, company sponsored group of ‘owners’, nothing more.  More of a touring group of geriatric riders, getting out on Holliday and week ends, not a hard living group of ex military hard cases.

Nothing at all like Hells Angels, Nomads, Devils Disciples etc.

Same crowd and similar problem here in Phuket.

All they can think of doing between 2 prayers....

1) Clearly no Harleys, more like a wannabe gang on cheap rentals.

2) Probably Indian, at least I have seen an Indian group like that in the daytime.

3) What's with all the speculations? Those are low lifes, they are not supported secretly by embassies etc, they will be rounded up and charged.

4) If you wanna speed up that process, take clearer pics of license plates and report them . As far as I know, the lottery is ongoing, so 20.000 baht can be won each month for reporting violators.

Six cops + a few lengths of spiked chain = problem solved.  The real problem is finding six cops and forcing them to come out after dark.

If the police did their job, they would check the CCTV cameras at the Esso station which may have some close up, decent images of them as a lot of them were parked on the road right in front of the gas station.

And this was at the Pattaya Tai/Sukhumvit intersection, which is usually quite busy even in the wee hours of the morning. Can't imagine a bunch of Thai drivers in cars/trucks just sitting at the intersection because some scooters are racing on the road.

It was probably a 2 minute thing after a light change when there wasn't any traffic trying to go down that part of the Suk and they probably moved off as soon as the lights changed.

This seemingly has being going on for years racing bikes around Pattaya

The police are probably getting backhanders. ????  brown envelopes not to touch these guys 

Only when it's in the news they decide to round up a few of them 

Dish out a few fines slap on the wrist 

Then after a few days things are back to normal 

Arabs on their bikes upsetting the locals and . Foreign expats .

Arabs or Martians, it makes no difference.  It is unacceptable act by individuals regardless of their nationalities.  Calling all Arabs names is unfair and serves no purpose other than creating a divide.  Arabs come from many different countries, and most are good and law abiding people.
