A large group of what appears to be Middle Eastern tourists with over 30 motorbikes allegedly blocked parts of Sukumvit Road to illegally race motorbikes.

 

Local media today in the early morning, August 22nd, reported about a group of foreign motorcyclists who gathered in front of the Esso gas station in South Pattaya to drive around the city, unnecessarily honk horns, and disturb peace in the neighborhood.

 

The group of around 30 racers also blocked a portion of Sukhumvit Road in South Pattaya to race their motorcycles without a care for other drivers who may want to share the road, according to local media. This action outraged numerous Thais and foreign tourists who resided close to the street or the rendezvous of these foreign racers, prompting a question of where the law enforcement officials were when they were needed.

Same in parts of London every summer. The Arabs are untouchable  They have full $ FULL support  from their embassies in Thailand and in the UK the police are too scared to approach them for fear of upsetting certain  communities. They effectively get away with public murder attempts  on international  authors too.

Never see  young Thai kids doing this down Petkasem  Road at 2  am with no  lights  on....no sirree  never  seen that on all my trips down to Hua  Hin

It's not a patch on what they get up to in their home countries albeit in cars.

 

They're not the only ones that do this, happens all over thailand with the locals.

revoke their visa and/or permission to stay, they are adding nothing of any value to Thailand/Pattaya...............deport them

sounds like you've never actually lived amongst his kind of people. I have, for 40 years, and I can assure you that their allegiance lies with their ancestral home and not where they have lived their whole lives. 

 

I came to Thailand to escape the sleeper cells that are starting to overrun the south west of Sydney. the deciding factor was when the counter-terrorism unit arrested a self-proclaimed sheikh who lived around the corner and who was plotting to behead tourists in the street.

When I lived in Saudi the Arab

I'm sorry to hear that you lived in Saudi, hell on earth. 

 

I worked in Saudi for a few years, flying in and out every 4 weeks, I hated it.

I regularly saw the fun the boys were having on their motorbikes

 

I've also got a few photos of 10 year olds driving the family car with mum sat in the back seat. 

 

It's a strange place with strange people.

Just another day in LOS, never seen a Thai driver who cares about other road users either!!

Simple solution. Police get off your bum, take their passports and give them street cleaning social payback for 2 weeks.  I doubt they will do it again.

If that picture is their attempt to block the road, I suggest they don't attempt to stop me in my truck.

Where I live in Thailand it's all Thai boy racers and instead of the Police doing anything they actually facilitate the race. It's a nightmare at night.

There was another group on the east coast that called themselves The Baha Bikers. An eclectic group made up of Saudis and Foreigners. Used to see them on the causeway to Bahrain, a great site, many different models of big bikes. They also did a lot for Kids charities in both countries, not like these spoilt brats in Pattaya.
