Wife allegedly axed to death by husband after refusing to reconcile

Violence is everywhere and always has been.  Just luck and circumstance on how close it comes to us.

It's possible to get oversensitised or undersensitised to reports. Eg when you buy a new car, suddenly you notice the same model more often on the roads.

Many years ago, a Thai lady stabbed her husband to death in the street right outside my house. Literally.

In Woking, UK.

Indeed, and once this gets known in the west, the tourists ware going to stay home..

Do you mean all these Hi-So tourists that are going to be flocking here?

With all those horror stories I wonder how Thailand compares to other nations.

I.e. how many husbands kill their wife in America?

And does it really matter if they use an ax or a gun?

If you watch the Thai news in the morning the first stories are either of crashes and deaths or Fights and Murders, been that way for as long as I can remember, except during when Covid was looming large....

and then they watch hours of lakorn where the woman is raped and then falls romantically in love with the rapist. Occasionally the jealous boy/girl in the story gets out a big knife or a gun. Lots of shouting, fighting and (Indian-style) Staring......

The little brown servants get a good kicking whenever appropriate.

Thai Culture is not to be ignored........

I've noticed the increased reporting of these violent murders so I looked up some stats Thailand has one of the highest murder per capita rate in the world like number four I think it was

And no.2 in the world for dying on the road.

Not from the stats I've seen.

Homicide rate of Thailand fell gradually from 8.7 cases per 100,000 population in 1998 to 2.6 cases per 100,000 population in 2017.

Here are the 10 countries with the highest homicide rates:

  1. El Salvador (52.02 per 100k people)
  2. Jamaica (43.85 per 100k people)
  3. Lesotho (43.56 per 100k people)
  4. Honduras (38.93 per 100k people)
  5. Belize (37.79 per 100k people)
  6. Venezuela (36.69 per 100k people)
  7. Saint Vincent And the Grenadines (36.54 per 100k people)
  8. South Africa (36.40 per 100k people)
  9. Saint Kitts And Nevis (36.09 per 100k people)
  10. Nigeria (34.52 per 100k people)

Real men just walk away, when things cannot be worked out. Babies, and juveniles, who look like adults, but have the emotional development of a 13 year old, turn into homicidal maniacs.
