Viral Video: Mum with kid on her back says she'll work for 100 baht a day - she gets more than that!

Daily News reported on a TikTok video being widely viewed and shared on Thai social media.

 

The post by rungrats253 was CCTV from a kind of souvenir shop in Sriracha on Thailand's eastern seaboard.

 

The poster explained that a woman with a young infant on her back had come into the store saying that she was willing to work for just 100 baht a day.

 

That's well below minimum wage.

But the owner of the store was not having that saying they were not the kind of person to take advantage.

 

The woman ended up getting work for a respectable 400 baht a day plus two meals and was able to bring her child too.

 

Netizens were impressed all round, especially with the owner, asking how they could find their store and support the shop.
