Protest at Ratchaprasong this weekend to demand removal of the “3-Ps”

A political group, jointly led by the leader of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD), Jatuporn Prompan, and Nititorn Lamlua, is planning to hold a rally this weekend, to press for the ouster of the so called “3-Ps”, at Ratchaprasong intersection in the heart of Bangkok’s commercial district.

Parents want 2nd autopsy on their late daughter, doubting school’s explanation

The parents of the 7-year-old schoolgirl, who died in a locked van at a school in Chon Buri’s Pan Thong district on Tuesday, petitioned the Justice Ministry today (Thursday), seeking a second autopsy to confirm the actual cause of their daughter’s death.

No major marijuana issues increasing after cannabis decriminalization

No major marijuana-use disorders or issues increased in the past five years, not even after cannabis and hemp were legalized in Thailand in June, the Thai Public Health Ministry stated on Thursday, September 1st.

Resurfacing of Walking Street is near completion, only street art left

The resurfacing of Walking Street was around 95% complete with only the street art process remaining. All advertising signs that obstructed the street must be put away or made parallel to the venues within three months, the Pattaya Deputy Mayor told TPN media.

Land expropriation proceeds for the Thai-Chinese high-speed train project

A Royal Decree on Land Expropriation in Bangkok, Pathum Thani, Ayutthaya, Saraburi and Nakhon Ratchasima provinces has been published in the Royal Gazette, to pave way for the construction of the first stage of the Thai-Chinese high-speed train mega project, running from Bangkok to Nakhon Ratchasima in the north-east.
