PMQs today was so different. First day in office and all that but she didn't really have an answer for Starmer regarding Windfall taxes for the oil/gas companies. Seems like she has assembled a good team. Will it hold together and prevail or collapse? Only time will tell but I would like to see the country rise up for the good of the people in economic adversity.

It was a pleasant change to see a PM at least address (most) of the questions asked and and not resort to lies and obfuscation. But she’s still woefully lacking on policy beyond her fixation on tax cuts. Her plans for the NI Protocol (whatever they may be) are already being ‘contained’ with a shot across the bows from Washington. As you say PMQ was different, I would add rather positively different, though lacking in substance. transam
I thought a good first PM question's, much as expected, though Blackford does waste the House time with his same ol' cackle... Starmer the barrister, well, not very convincing, and Liz "Same ol', same ol', tax and spend, tax and spend" was a classic put down. So all in all, OK, sticking to her gun's, no sign of fear in her face, unlike the opposition.. PS. What I thought was hilarious, was the SNP guy with a ponytail, he was up and down like a jack-in-the- box, did he ever get a say, I wonder, and that SNP female lady, the one with the big chip on her shoulder just to slag off, but taken down by the Speaker, should have told her to <deleted> off out....????

Given that you apparently find Truss cut taxes panacea intellectually respectable, it's no wonder that you believe that her "tax and spend" comment was classic. 2
