What on earth were these people doing riding an elephant. Are they so out of touch they don't realise that this is animal abuse.

One is tempted to think "som nam Na"

The elephants were not injured.

At least a "Happy Ending" .....(outside a massage parlour)!.....:jap:

All elephants to some degree are injured by carrying people.

Does that maxim apply to animal cruelty?

I hope you'd stop when you are wise enough to understand that elephants are not playground rides.

Agree!.....

Physically for years and Mentally for ever!

They never forget!

And that is why so many "Mahouts" get killed by them!

God created animals for human use. It is the only reason they exist and they should be used in whatever manner (includes being eaten) that humans see fit.

Most people at 80 have never fractured a bone in their life

Only thing standing out in the blip, the elephant, IF, really around 70 yrs old, as very old for an Asian elephant *

The humans, at those ages, could have needed hospitalization if the tripped over a curb.

Moving on ....

* ... "The average life span of an Asian elephant is 48 years, while the African elephant lives 60-70 years. Elephants in captivity have shorter life spans, which experts believe is due to stress from poor mental health"
