Several areas across the country are facing flooding and flash floods on Wednesday, September 7th, after the heavy and constant rain battered most parts of Thailand on Tuesday evening.

In Bangkok, a high level of floodwater was accumulated in many areas, causing heavy traffic and congestion since yesterday, particularly on major roads including Vibhavadi Rangsit, Chaengwattana, Ngamwongwan, Phaholyothin, and Srinakarin.

And due to flooding which caused traveling difficulty, Kasetsart University Laboratory School Center for Educational Research and Development in the Chatuchak district was ordered to close for one day. Teaching online was applied in all classes on Wednesday.

Read somewhere that up to 130 mm of downpour in one day.

That's about 2 months of average downpour in Germany and neighboring countries.

More work needed by the new governor... should be an interesting meeting today.

My Mrs just informed me it took her young brother 6 hours to drive home last night due to flooding.... Bang A Dee to Rangsit. A long tail boat might have been a better option.
