Jaggg88
My UK friend has a work contract in Malaysia stating in November and would like to visit Thailand at weekends, holidays etc. He says the UK embassy website and MFA website say he is limited to 3 entries every 6 months but other are saying it is currently unlimited so does anybody know for sure? VocalNeal
He can keep arriving here. If too many visits, immigration will mention he does something different next time. I.e get a proper visa. No real drama. Edited September 12, 2022 by VocalNeal
Popular Post ubonjoe
The 3 entries in 6 months rule went away in 2008. It was actually a total of 90 days in 6 months in the rescinded rule. 6 1

His pattern of visits, meaning weekends (short stay) should not raise any concerns with immigration. Wouldn't hurt for him to have his work permit with him.

Why would the person need a visa for a weekend ?

They will tell you if they think you have been visiting too many times. I only know it has happened to a mate of mine. As I said, no real drama. So still displayed on Embassy website and MFA even though it was rescinded in 2008.

You will find a lot of wrong and out of date info about entering visa exempt on embassy and consulate websites since they have nothing to do with them. Where did find info about them on the MFA website?
Hanuman2547
If he is just coming for very short stays of 3-4 days at a time over weekends and holidays there really shouldn't be too much of a problem.
