Finders of "Golden Goby" - Pla Boo Thong - turn down 7 figure sum for fish

Social Media in Sa Kaeo province in eastern Thailand was following the story of a group of people who found a Golden Goby in an agricultural pond in Wang Nam Yen district.

 

The fish is usually black but a woman called Ubon was the first to spot a golden one during drainage work on a 3 rai pond that is 5 meters deep at the home of ex phu yai ban Raleuk, 66. 

 

The unusual fish features in a famous Thai fable and Ubon was quick to point out the creature's literary status, reported Sanook.

 

Since the find she had been offered a 7 figure sum to part with the fish but after consultation with relatives the fish is being kept for now.

 

It is hoped that the auspicious find may help in solving the next riddle for the state lottery.

Seven figure sum ,I would have took their hand off , the

fish could be dead next week, ...........or according to believers

predict  the lottery ,  cash now or hope for lottery win.......

Seven figures you say; how many lottery tickets would that buy? The 'universe' may want her to buy a whole bunch of tickets.

The numbers '3'  '5'  '7'   '66' are mentioned in the article. I'm going with '66' because it is the only one not a prime.

Surely the fish belongs to the owner of the pond?

I don't believe anyone has offered her a seven figure amount. Just trying to stoke interest. Who wants a fish with hepatitis ?
