Dear oh dear!

What a <deleted>show, it's embarrassing to be British.

Truss is like a character from the Vicar of Dibley.

Only dimmer.

God save the UK. Because nothing will save the Prime Minister.

The Tories are in a mess of their own making.

Tge more the public see of Truss the less they like her, and that isn’t going to get any better.

So the Tories are now in a fix, do they get rid of Truss and throw the country into yet another Tory infighting induced stupor or do they go into the next election with Truss as PM?

I’m for the latter.

This is a Tory mess, the Tories and their supporters need to suck it up.

That's true of most MPs.

Tory MPs are especially greedy and unpleasant.

Themselves.

This is the voting issue that matters.

Non of the idiocy in the Truss-Kwarteng budget was included in the Conservative Manifesto at the last election.

The upshot of that is nobody voted for any of it and they certainly did not vote for the consequences of the idiot budget either.

Didn't vote for Covid or a world recession  -  but they happened anyway.

They weren’t idiot policies of a loony PM.

I don't think anyone is denying that the aftermath of Covid is having a negative effect on the world economy.

The question is 'How are the respective governments dealing with the problem?'.

In the UK's case, the market's answer is 'Badly'.

Absolutely. A complete shambles internally and externally.

However, we have another 2+ years of this government and I would like to see some cohesion in the Tory party to enable them to be better positioned to tackle the challenges of the next couple of years. That would be in the best interests of the country  -  which few seem to care about.

I hope the Tories have bottomed out  -  one can never be certain.

But not as looney as your choice Corbyn ????

Just cant believe a labour govt could be any better, they never have been .

I do expect Conservatives to be better than that .

Conservatives seem to have made a big mistake appointing KK and possibly Truss

That needs to be accepted and focused on , rather than just keeping pointing fingers at Corbyn . You are behaving like a lefty

I do expect better from Conservatives

There has been the suggestion that Truss was appointed PM because the other option was a Brown man , maybe she appointed a Black man to be her Chancellor to quell the suggestions she was appointed because of Her race and gender ?

Corbyn is not the subject of this discussion, nor is any ‘choice’ you imagine I might have made.

You don’t have to, Labour didn’t cause this mess and they are not the subject of the discussion (chiefly because they didn’t cause this mess).

No he’s behaving like a supporter of this Government, nothing to do with the ‘left’.

Otherwise you are correct.

She appointed Kwarteng because they both intimately share an attachment to an extreme rightwing economic dogma.

Now, they may be considered to be right wing policies , but its not extreme right wing .

Adding the word "extreme" makes the suggestion that they are neo Nazis
