Warrants have been issued, by Songkhla Provincial Court, for the arrests of Rattaphum district’s assistant chief and five defence volunteers, for allegedly demanding bribes from the relatives of a drug suspect being held in custody.

BANGKOK (NNT) - The 20th International Congress for Tropical Medicine and Malaria (ICTMM2020) scheduled for 24-28 October 2022 at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) is being hosted by the Parasitology and Tropical Medicine Association of Thailand and Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University. It was postponed from September 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Police hunt down a SWAT official after allegedly killing and injuring bar customers

A policeman from Trang’s SWAT was wanted by officials after shooting and killing a bar customer while injuring another two customers during a drunk quarrel with the victim at an entertainment venue in Mueang district, Trang, in the early hours of Tuesday, October 25th.

Maritime areas in Chumphon’s Pathio district declared environmental protection zones

The Thai cabinet endorsed an edict by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment today (Tuesday), declaring specific areas in Pak Khlong, Chum Kho, Bang Son and Saphli sub-districts in Pathio district of the southern province of Chumphon to be environmental protection zones, in which construction, fishing and dredging of sand will be prohibited.
