Jury finds 3 men guilty of supporting plot to kidnap Michigan’s Gov. Whitmer

Three men accused of supporting a plot to kidnap Michigan’s governor were convicted of all charges Wednesday, a triumph for state prosecutors after months of mixed results in the main case in federal court.

 

Joe Morrison, his father-in-law Pete Musico, and Paul Bellar were found guilty of providing “material support” for a terrorist act as members of a paramilitary group, the Wolverine Watchmen.

 

They held gun drills in rural Jackson County with a leader of the scheme, Adam Fox, who was disgusted with Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and other officials in 2020 and said he wanted to kidnap her.

and a thorough, leave no stone unturned investigation by impartial investigators of the dodgy involvement of the FBI in the planning of this kidnapping. Just the latest in a long long long line of seemingly political moves by the FBI to set up conservatives and/or protect big players of the left. And you are using an opinion piece from 2020 to support your position?

 

The calls to defund the police were mostly a small but vocal group, and among them most simply wanted more money diverted to mental health services.  The police are not trained to deal with a lot of mental health situations, domestic disturbances and a multitude of other situations.  They shouldn't have to.  They should have professionals available on-call that can step in and let the police take care of more serious crimes.

I tell you why it still make me chuckle. Defund the police movement came about amid national outrage over the police killing of George Floyd and the outcry was for police reform. Contrasting with the snowflake reaction of the Maga folks to abolish the FBI because dear leader resort was searched. LOL.
