Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was "violently assaulted" by someone who broke into his San Francisco home early Friday, according to her spokesperson.

The suspect is in custody, her spokesperson, Drew Hammill, said in a statement.

Paul Pelosi is in the hospital and "is expected to make a full recovery," Hammill said.

Washington CNN  — Paul Pelosi, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was attacked with a hammer at the couple’s home in San Francisco by a male assailant early Friday morning, law enforcement sources tell CNN.

Other than them, I’m sure there are lots of others that hates her guts. She has made enemies, and not just at home. But her attacker doesn’t seem to be blessed with much intelligence, judging from his actions and subsequent arrest. Just lock him up and throw away the key.

But AFAIK, as yet, there's been no specific information publicly released as to just what exactly may have motivated the guy who's been arrested in the case and what have been his political views.  I suspect something will be forthcoming soon.

This guy is a total nutter who has embraced just about every right wing conspiracy there is.  Unfortunately, there are many like him.  So more violence and arrests to come.  Wait until after midterms.  If certain candidates lose and start screaming "rigged election!", there will be more nastiness.  Hope they set an example with this guy with a lengthy prison term.
