So basically he's a homeless nutjob mentally ill guy from Canada. But I understand the liberals wanting to milk this one so close to mid terms.

Milk it! Her husband received a fractured skull, very fortunate to be alive now

Donald Trump's Silence on Paul Pelosi Attack Sparks Anger

"Donald Trump's silence on the attack suffered by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband Paul Pelosi in the couple's home on Friday has sparked anger from many online as the former president has yet to come forward with any type of statement about the incident."

One in a long list of similar comments reported in this news report:

"Trump could come out & clearly condemn the attack on Paul Pelosi. He could say political violence is unacceptable. If would be a great thing for our country if he did that. But he likely won't, any more that he tamped down on 1-6 violence when he thought it might still help him," wrote journalist Joyce Alene."

Often with Trump it's better when he says nothing.

Such as recently when asked about Kanye's antisemitic explosions, his response was he hadn't really followed it (so believeable) but Kanye had said very nice things about him (all he cares about). Anyway I doubt he will say anything. Why should he? He's still the top leader of the grand old party that he hijacked.

New York Post do for you?

"DePape had been living in a dilapidated yellow school bus on the street in front of Taub’s Berkeley home, said neighbors who described him as otherwise “homeless.”

A Black Lives Matter sign and a flag combining pot-leaf symbols and the LGBTQ rainbow decorate the debris-strewn property. Out front, an unpainted wooden fence sports a hand-lettered sign: “News Reporters Go Away.”

So just because he lived in a dilapidated school bus in front of a home sporting the BLM etc things it fits your agenda to say he was aligned with MAGA?, Qanon etc.....hmmmm

To be precise, the bus is in the driveway of the house, so on the property if you care to look at the pictures in the article.

TBH, I don't think this loser was aligned with anything but his own mental illness.  He has been a nutter for more than 15 years, accused by his kids of molestation, the kind of guy who takes up whatever the latest cause/conspiracy/protest is.  THAT is his motivation.

Glad you mention conspiracy there in connection with his maga and Qanon alignment.

To me it is the same for a majority of orangeman followers, and I don't support either party.

No quite.  He actually did something, not just pose for a selfie behind a desk.

Yet, a Jan. 6th rioter dragged a D.C. officer into the mob. The officer suffered a heart attack and a traumatic brain injury.

Another officer had two stokes after being sprayed with bear spray and subsequently died.

Four other officers committed suicide.

"A retired New York Police Department (NYPD) officer has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for assaulting an officer with a flagpole during last year’s attack on the United States Capitol, the longest sentence handed out so far in relation to the January 6 riot".

The man has been very busy posting on Truth Social. Brag about his endorsements, upcoming hate speech rallies and playing his victimhood card on the Mar-la-go search, Brazil’s election and even have time for the death of Jerry Lee Lewis. Nothing mentioned on attack of Paul Pelosi. Disappointing behavior of someone who was the former President.

He never acted very Presidential while in office either.  He played the woe is me card and victim game tweeting constantly.  The man treats life like it is a reality TV show and uses people who end up buying into his subterfuge. Sad.  He may have done some decent things as President, yet his legacy will be that of someone who attempted to overthrow his own countries vote.  He in fact is the modern day Jefferson Davis in my book.

Hate speech, online extremism fed Pelosi attack, terror experts believe

"WASHINGTON, Oct 29 (Reuters) - The frequent targeting of U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi by online extremists and political opponents likely contributed to the violent attack on her husband Paul, terrorism and extremism experts said.

...

An internet user with the same name as the man arrested at the scene, David Depape, expressed support for former President Donald Trump and embraced the cult-like conspiracy theory QAnon in online posts that referenced "satanic paedophilia."

...

But terrorism and extremism experts believe it could be an example of the growing threat of so-called stochastic terrorism, in which sometimes unstable individuals are inspired to violence by hate speech and scenarios they see online and hear echoed by public figures.

If it was anyone else that lived in America it wouldn't even be on the news. If it was a robbery he sure made a hell of a lot of noise. Who was the third person in the house? I hope the truth comes out in the end..

Does the truth matters to you? That’s a Fox spin and you just regurgitating Fox trash.

"Disappointing behavior of someone who was the former President."

An understatement, people of good faith and are so closely connected through years of knowing each other should not remain silent about such a high profile and violent political act of attempted murder, using an influential voice matters in times like this even if that voice is only influential to the MAGA crowd.

I noted on Fox news that the only word so far is from Trump Junior via a post on truth social which also misses any form of acknowledgment on this individual case and deflects the attention.

"Imagine how safe the country would be if democrats took all violent crime as seriously as they’re taking the Paul Pelosi situation," Trump Jr. wrote to his 2.6 million followers on the platform.

"They simply don’t care about you," he added in the post.

Alleged assailant filled blog with delusional thoughts in days before Pelosi attack

...

David DePape, 42, also published hundreds of blog posts in recent months sharing memes in support of fringe commentators and far-right personalities. Many of the posts were filled with screeds against Jews, Black people, Democrats, the media and transgender people.

...

The domain frenlyfrens.com was registered Aug. 8 under DePape’s name and to an address in Richmond, Calif., where a neighbor told a Post reporter he lived. The web address uses the phonetic spelling of “friend,” which has become a slang term adopted by many in the far right — a term that is sometimes written as an acronym for Far Right Ethno-Nationalist.
