Thai Rath reported on the shooting of an 18 year old youth at a Mor Lam/kathin ceremony at a school in Nakhon Phanom, NE Thailand.

Wayu Sitwichai was shot multiple times by a man driving a red car.

There had been no disagreement at the event at a school in Ban Lao on Sunday night. But trouble flared in the road after.

A social media campaign to get the assailant arrested started on Facebook.

The assailant is the son of a former Phu Yai Ban, a village official.

The victim was transferred to Nakhon Phanom hospital after treatment at Nawa district hospital.

The media suggested that the shooting resulted from the young man's boastful behavior.

Dear Thai media, may I offer another suggestion:

the shooting resulted from the shooters bad impulse control, and carrying a gun in public..., just saying...

"The media suggested that the shooting resulted from the young man's boastful behavior."

So the media tries to lesson the blame on the shooter?

Ethics in the Thai media sector is non existent.....!
