That's why both DePape and a lot of the Jan. 6 insurrectionists are currently (or have been) in jails or prisons. Because of what they DID... not what they believed.

 

And it might well be worth remembering, just who's the main driver of the delusional bus they're all riding on.

Both can be true. It is a partisan mistake to keep eyes on one but not the other.  To be honest, I think Pelosi was the target because she lived down the road in San Fran.  But this guy was delusional and had been for years.  It is hard to square the circle from nudist activist to faerie talker to self proclaimed Jesus to MAGA supporter. Unless the guy is clinically insane, in which case it makes perfect sense.

I find it odd that a seasoned news reporter at NBC got it so wrong. Makes one wonder who got it right and who is telling an altered version. Either way Pelosi was attacked and the moments leading up to that don't change the end result but, but....you have to admit it makes for curiosity.

The January 6 assault on the Capitol was not a tap, it was the most significant attack on the nation's capitol since 1812.

 

There are many more major "taps" planned.  Election deniers are running for offices that put them in charge of elections in several states.  If they win the foxes will be in charge of the hen houses.

False equivalence -- trying to somehow equalize a violent Jan. 6 attack on the country's election of a new president vs Democrats complaining about documented Russian meddling and local jurisdiction voter restriction measures that occurred during 2016.

 

Did Democrats launch and lose 50 plus legal challenges against the 2016 election results, despite election experts roundly saying there was no basis, and lose every single one of them? NO!

 

Did Democrats violently assault the U.S. Capitol and try by criminal conduct to block Trump's confirmation in Congress as president? NO!

While at the same time engaging in a multi faceted attack on voting rights:

 

The of armed police at voting stations to intimidate voters.

The use of armed civilians wearing tactical gear to intimidate voters as they approach voting stations.

The removal and restriction of vote drop boxes in neighborhoods with high voter support to their political rivals.

The re-writing of State laws to restrict voter participation.

The use of telemarketing targeted at voters who might support their political opposition to spread misinformation about how Mail in vote data is used to deter those voters from participating in the election.

Not one single tap, but a coordinated multi pronged effort to gain power by restricting voter participation.

That is not inferring that Paul Pelosi is spreading false claims, you do know that right.................lol. It is a question who is spreading the false claims on the Paul case with plenty of examples in the article of who those people are.
