Never understood why people automatically connect the word budget with cheap as in a lot of the posts above. As I've got older my spend seems to have naturally decreased, I wonder what the hell I used to spend my money on because I feel like my quality of life has increased. True. More focused spending. Your numbers dont add up. You spent minus 21,000 on food etc which means Thailand is very cheap. Edited November 8, 2022 by Sparktrader

When you know where to live, you manage to find decent hotels for less than half price. Marriot Sukumvit 22 we lived several times for 6k a night included breakfast. Popular Post timendres
Thailand can be cheap or expensive. Depends on your preferences. I could easily live in BKK on 40K per month and be quite content. I could easily live in BKK on 300K per month and still want more. 6

Nothing wrong with that. Depends on how much you have to work with. I prefer not to skimp. Like to eat out alot, like to travel alot, and have a younger woman, who needs to be maintained! Whatever works. I am thankful I have enough funds to live very well. Definition of comfort, Being warm, having a bed that doesn't make your back ache and not being hungry. 3 1

Just had a procedure done, cost $5500 here w/meds. Philly, USA ... 'Philadelphia, PA Cost Average, $26,600 - $73,200/Philadelphia costs $43,202 on average' ... anything involving labor, much cheaper here ... food, tough call, most cheaper here, as is eating out, but the experience is completely different. Cheaper, but wouldn't call it 'fine dining', which is also expensive here. What it cost for RE Taxes & Healthcare alone in the USA, monthly, I can live on here, and quite comfy at that. Really is no comparison. Edited November 9, 2022 by KhunLA

Popular Post Don Chance
I think living a minimalist lifestyle is healthier physically and mentally for anyone. I started cooking my own food and feeling much more healthy than eating fried, msg, sugar etc. Chasing things, women, sex, drugs, bling etc. will just make you unhappy and not satisfied. Unfortunately Thailand is very capitalist and they want you to chase things and spend money. Working on your physical healthy can be easy too. Swimming walking, lifting rocks etc. are all free. 2
