Two university faculties oppose taxpayer funding of World Cup 2022 live broadcasts

The Faculty of Communication Arts at Chulalongkorn University and the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communications at Thammasat University have issued a joint statement opposing a proposal, from the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT).

Smart system helps prevent children trapped inside school buses

BANGKOK (NNT) - Children being unknowingly left inside a vehicle has become a more common occurrence. The Digital Economy Promotion Agency has introduced a new system that aims to prevent these incidents, using sensors and AI technology to ensure no children are on school buses at the end of service.

Thailand’s underground economy of betting and gambling was valued at more than 1 trillion Baht prompting the country’s system to be as corrupt it is at the moment; the former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra came out to say during his bi-weekly talk on Clubhouse.

Defections, mergers and mudslinging signal start of Thai election countdown

Widespread damage to crops by wild elephants from Thap Lan national park

Naew Na reported that a great deal of damage has been done to crops by wild elephants foraging for food in the area of the Thap Lan national park in Wang Nam Khiaw district of Nakhon Ratchasima, NE Thailand.
