Abortion anywhere cheaper than PDA soi 12?

Featured Replies

PDA now charges Thais 4500, plus 800 for an ultrasound if there is a visible tummy.

Some girls just don't have the money, especially if there is no guy paying.

After legalisation of abortion last year and the announcement a couple of weeks ago that abortion would be available at government hospitals, is it possible for lower-class Thais to get an abortion more or less for free at government hospitals?

I heard Singburi hospital does this,  but none in Bangkok?

Seemingly not so far. Government hospitals have been dragging their feet on this.

Suggest she try contacting this organization and asking them:

https://ppat.or.th/

they are on Line and Messenger too and pretty quick to respond

They have 2 clinics in Bangkok (and another 7 upcountry) which do abortions.

When you find out what they charge let me know

3500 at Pinklao, which is a very convenient location in this case. They also are open until 5pm (PDA in Sukhumvit closes at 3pm)

Prices vary a bit, whether you ask in line ("3500-6500"), at Bangkhen ("not more than 5000 for Thai, including ultrasound"), at Pinklao as a foreign guy ("3900").

When she called herself at Pinklao, they told her 3500.

Phone numbers:

Bangkhen 02-9412320, with phone menu in Burmese, Lao etc

Pinklao 1452 press 1-2-2

The variation in  cost  estimates may have to do with type of procefure (MVA/medical abortion/vacuum etc).

Should  always do ultrasound as otherwise there are risks that the woman is not actually pregnant or has an ectopic pregnancy -- or is too far along for the type of procefure planned.

I thought so, too.

But PDA as well as ppat both asked about the girls nationality,  so they do have different prices for foreigners.
