Court Accepts Cannabis Lawsuit Against Anutin, ONCB

THE Administrative Court has accepted a lawsuit filed by a member of the Medical Council of Thailand and MPs from a few parties seeking to revoke the Public Health Ministry’s announcement removing marijuana from an official list of controlled substances, Naewna newspaper said today (Nov. 21).

COVID-19 infections are expected to rise with the arrival of cold season, as more group activities are held and more people travel, but the infection rate will drop in February as the dry season begins, according to Dr. Yong Poovorawan, chief of the Centre of Excellence in Clinical Virology at the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University.

Thailand - Thai Public Health Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said today to the Thai media that in his opinion cannabis cannot be reverted back into an illegal narcotic drug and he is not overly concerned with a proposal by cannabis opponents to try to ban the plant entirely again.
