Food delivery services in Pattaya.

After not eating for a week I have a sudden craving for roast chicken but I can't buy it near me. It occurs to me that I should start to use food delivery services more often, The main reason I don't is that I don't really know where to order from.

In your opinion, which is the most reliable and best price delivery service and where could I find menus and restaurants that use them. I'm fishing for favourite recommendations.

Grab and food panda are probably the two main ones, they both have apps and websites with all the menus and choices. Photos of food etc.

Its a very easy process and usually very quick delivery..

Grab not accepting cash, no way I'm going to enable grab pay. Searching for "european roast chicken" on Panda is a joke, 600 restaurants listed, none of them are european. If I try a restaurant search for "sportsman's bar" I get 68 restaurants, none of them are sportsman's bar.

"After not eating for a week" - you survived on only water for a week? I don't think I could do that purely for weight loss. Two small meals per day is the most I could go down to.

no, I had rotavirus. Like diarrhea on steroids. ????

Grab food delivery DOES accept cash.

I use it often and just checked again, though I usually pay by debit card.

I think if you get on their blacklist for bad behavior they can cut out your cash option, but otherwise, no problema.

I've never used them and their website said "payment method not accepted" when I selected cash. I didn't use the mobile app.

I've never used a food delivery service and never will. You never know what the delivery person might be doing to it. You might get someone whose boss just <deleted> them off or they just like spitting in other people food.

There was a news story not long ago where there was video of a kid spitting on someones hotdog while preparing it at a major league baseball game. The kid was arrested but there was no way to know who the lucky person was that got the hotdog. My rule is, if I'm hungry enough I'll go get it myself.

The same kind of thing could happen in restaurants.

A friend of mind once told me that he regularly farted on the pies of a locally famous restaurant (that my family regularly went to).

Well use the app then. Its a well known fact that the Grab good app is the very very easy way to order food in Pattaya. You come on asking for advice and then when given it question the answers. You seem to be living in the dark ages.

Are you 68 and find it difficult to read tiny print on a tiny screen without glasses that you normally don't wear?

so if you live in a big condo does grab bring food to your unit or do you meet them in the lobby or how does it work?  what is considered appropriate tip, fixed amount or % of order or?

At my condo the customer comes to the lobby.  I don't think the security guards allow them in and many condos have card or other keyless entry.

Panda is the best app......Plus they have pretty nice discounts of almost 100 baht very often..

Grab and Line are about the same.....S-loads of written Thai.....And loads of Thai food..

The way to use the apps is spend one day looking through them and saving your favorites......No need to look through them any more.....

I forgot to say on Panada you can also collect points that will give you more discounts on food...

The best deal on Grab is very often Central Festival food court will have a whopping 120 baht discount on food if ordered through Grab....
