Photos: Matichon by TNR Staff THE police drive against illegal gambling on the 22nd Fifa World Cup matches over the eight days since the tournament started last Sunday (Nov. 20) has so far netted 3,178 punters, bookmakers and bet receivers, Matichon newspaper said. Yesterday 620 gambling suspects were rounded up in an offline sweep and among them were six bookmakers and 314 punters while an online drive netted another 33 punters adding up to 653. Also seized were 353 betting tickets worth 108,105 baht and 2,900 baht in cash adding up to 111,005 baht.
