Amazon Fire TV audio

Featured Replies

I have purchased, from Mr Lazada, an HDMI/Audio Extractor box ie HDMI in & out and 2 x RCA phonos out to go to my audio system. It works fine, but the Fire Remote will not alter the audio volume, it still controls the TV volume. Anyone any thoughts or ideas please.

The box was expensive...........Bht 185.

Regarding my previous post, I am plugging my Fire TV 4k into the box's input. When I plug Fire into the TV, the remote controls the TV volume OR the Bluetooth speaker if that is turned on. My audio system is NOT Bluetooth enabled.

Are you using the ARC HDMI port? Also i noticed when i moved my Fire TV stick from one TV (which i initially set it up on) to another TV - it stopped controlling the volume. Only way i could get it to work again was to reset and set up again - on the second tv.
