Sanook reported that there was a media frenzy after a temple in Chachoengsao put out an online add of "dek wat" - temple kids. 

 

In reality it appeared to be an advertisement for a driver who would get a salary of 8-10,000 baht a month if they were polite, had a good temperament and had good mechanical skills.

 

Applicants who could take good photos or who had computer skills would be favored.

 

It was the idea of the abbot at Wat Akomsittapon who was nowhere to be found when the press came calling. 

 

A nun said they had had problem getting staff.
