Female sex workers don't harass tourists because they have at least possibilities of becoming future brides of some person rejected by females of his own kind in exchange for a "wife visa". A transgender prostitute can not give any thing like a "wife visa" in exchange for becoming a lover of a homo sexual. So they are more desperate to harass and get whatever they could from tourists.

You're both off the facts: ladyboys and gays are incompatible. Get your facts straight (oh, that was an almost unintended pun).

aren't these the same policeman/government officials that, some time ago, claimed there was no prostitution in Pattaya..... now, by fining them,  are they admitting there's prostitution..... amazing Thailand that keeps us laughing 555

They are registered (recorded) so that the can be identified if picked up again.

They don't need a reason, they are a law into themselves. Some years ago a good friend who had worked in Central for a long while, bought some food in Soi9 on her break. She walked over to sit on a bench on the beachfront (before the council removed them) and the cops came along en masse with their pick up rounding up girls. She was in their sights and it took a lot of pleading not to be taken away.

Probably could become a future bride in the U.S. of A. now, after biden's signing of the marriage act law.
