They liked the white supremist dog whistle that he constantly blows. They liked/bought all the drain the swamp . build the wall, denigrate generals, experts, health care pros . chinese hoax, ad infinitum BS that he spews, They like that he claimed to be very very rich and would not need or take any $$ from anyone. They bought that he was all for the little guy except he gave the big tax cuts to the richest of the rich and got them to believe the same tired old lie of trickle down economics. Then the house of cards came tumbling down when reality hit that actually being POTUS is much more difficult than sitting on golden toilets whining about the other guy. No wall got built, no swamp got drained, sucked up to putin and dictators and put more grifters into the swamp who had no clue how to actually pass laws or govern . All he knew how to do was hold rallies for his cult and ramble on incoherently repeating the same BS over and over as he sucked millions out of his supporters wallets. Many have finally figured out that trump is and has always been a conman whose only interest is himself. Unfortunately six years later there are still millions of people who refuse to admit that they got lied to and conned. Trump will soon enough be out of the spotlight but those hate filled gullible supporters will still be looking for a mini trump to feed them more BS....enter DeSantis. Here we go again. Meantime old senile Joe gets bills passed that have and will actually fix infrastructure, improve the environment, help America be more competitive, lower drug prices and much more. Is Joe perfect? No. But unlike trump he doesn't spend every waking moment trying to claim that he and he alone can fix every problem.. 2 3

But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability. The bill would need to pass both chambers of Congress, with only days before Republicans take control of the House and a substantial end-of-year agenda remaining. The legislation drops as the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021 assault on the Capitol prepares to release its final report next week. That committee is only authorized to operation until the end of the year. Ain't going to happen. Edited December 21, 2022 by dotcalm 1
candide
*Deleted post edited out* The steering wheel story was fun and maybe not totally true. However, the fact that Trump was angry he could not be driven to the Capitol has been corroborated. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-jan6-secret-service-suv-b2248813.html Anyway, it was not the most important part of her testimony. Lots of it was not hearsay and/or was corroborated by others. In particular by Cipollone.

If there ever was a trial only on a moron prosecutor would consider calling Hutchison as a witness after the source she quoted Tony Ornato says he did not brief Jan. 6 Committee witness Cassidy Hutchinson on one of the major allegations he made to the committee. He said, she said, forget Hutchison. **https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2022/12/19/us/politics/jan-6-committee-report-executive-summary.html refer to p. 54 Unless there is some additional smoking gun evidence, Merrick G likely sits this one out. After all if the evidence was so overwhelming, convincing, why did DOJ create a special counsel to investigate further, and why are there no indictments of Trump or Eastman or anyone else. It takes more than Trump and Eastman to overthrow the US government. Where is all the evidence? Who else was involved? This has become a joke and embarrassment. Keep on following the Donald, you'll be happy when he sells another $99 NFT to you to pay his court costs. 2

That's the magic word! Whenever a Republican becomes president the evangelicals declare that it happened because God wanted it to. It started with Reagan in the 1980s even though he spurned them and their agenda. The GOP and right-wing media work together to redefine trigger words. Whenever there is a GOP victory it is a mandate, even if they win by only 1%. A patriot is someone who wants to pick up arms and destroy democracy. But back to Bible tropes, isn't there something about the worship of a "golden calf"? http://openyoureyespeoplebreakingnews.com/2021/02/26/idol-worship-massive-statue-of-trump-golden-calf-trends-after-wheeled-and-celebrated-into-cpac-conference/

Then it becomes tiring. Americans want results It's like you flood your property just for the sake of it overflowing into your neighbor's place and seeing his stuff get ruined. Great for a laugh. The you realize you've ruined your own home too. Weird thing about the MAGA voters is they think their owns lives will be made better because they voted for him and the rest of the populace will not -- I never understood how they think that will work. All part of the con, I guess. And then the day when a relative dies of Covid you'll hear "this isn't supposed to happen to us!" Stupid is as stupid does, mom used to say.
