CHIANG RAI, Dec 27 (TNA) โ€“ A House committee on telecommunications and digital economy and society, the government and the private sector have opened the Space Technology Laboratory in this northernmost province.

 

The Space Technology Laboratory stands in the compound of Wiang Pa Pao Technical College in Wiang Pa Pao district. It is an advanced center for space technology study, the production of relevant personnel and space technology application for various purposes including solutions to natural disasters.


Many companies supported the establishment of the Space Technology Laboratory, including Thaicom Co, Charoen Pokphand Group, True Corporation and Terospace Co in association with Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency.

The usual gratuitous Thailand bashers are at it again. The US and Russia had space tech 60 years ago without computers on board. There's no reason Thailand can't develop satellites. They already have 13 satellites in orbit.

No just facts. They dont have anyone to provide many of the normal services in Thailand. There are highly educated Thais but most of those if not all work in other countries. Do you really believe they will employ people and pay them a very good salary? Really? Yes I know the satellites but they were mostly due to other countries technology.

It's irrelevant who helps them. They will use that technology to develop their own.
