Advice on best BKK dentists

Featured Replies

I have a friend looking to come to Bangkok for dental work and seeking advice on where to go for the best treatment. I understand that some of the leading hospital’s cater to the medical/dental tourist trade including 4-star hotel services, but he is looking for good quality treatment at most reasonable price and not so much concern on the 4-star hotel aspect as he will sort out his own accommodation while here.

I know of some leading hospital’s such as BNH, Bumrungrad & Bangkok Hospital but are there any others available who local expats have good experience with and which of these names offer better treatment/price.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers Mick

A family member recently had an implant performed by Dr. Atiphan at NP International Dental Clinic. The procedure went very well and the permanent crown will be installed on the implant after a few months.

Dr. Atiphan was recommended by our regular dentist as being a very good dental surgeon. I understand Dr. Atiphan's day job is at Chulalongkorn Hospital.

Procedure for one tooth using a 2.9 mm implant (Straumann, made in Switzerland) was 74,000 baht including both the implant and crown.

Thanks for all the advice, I will pass this on to my mate

Planning on going to BK pattaya hospital for an implant or two. Last time I was there, quoted around 50k then more for higher branding. First timer for implant? Any advice, warnings?

Bets doctor for implants in that area is at Phyathai Sri Racha. Costs less than BPH as well (though I must say I am surprised they quoted you only 50k...suspect that is not an all-in price). . I forget the doctor's name but if you email Gavine Wadeel  >[email protected]> he can tell you.

The lower price was for Korean made. I'll check it out. Thanks.

You get what you pay for with surgeries, bangkok hospital is where I go, doctors have American education/training.
