I bought 3 Samsung inverter split aircons in 2020, and now the second one has had the same failure as the first one!

These pcb's cost about 1000 baht on Lazada. But somehow I think that Samsung needs to be contacted and a way must be found to avoid this kind failure in the future.

is anyone else having the same issue?

You are lucky they only costs 1000 THB.

For our Daikins they cost around 6k, and we were without Aircon for approx a week+. Same reason Gecko's fried the board.

Fortunately it was still covered under warranty

A regular spray with Chaindrite should keep them away.

Yeah good tip was that someone made in the thread I linked, but We are doing something else

we are using (and have attached to and placed inside the compressor) moth balls  they seem to be doing the trick better then chaindrite.

Why?

Because when we used Chaindrite, after a few days we would see gecko excrement on and near the compressor again, but when using the above solution no excrement to be found. (And yes we have cleaned the area ????

We used them originally for our Garage to keep the rats away from our car but they seem do the trick with Geckos as well

Thanks for the tip guys

I wonder if they work with the gecko's larger cousin... the tookay? :whistling:

I have a mate in Isaan who had to have most of the wiring in his BMW replaced due to hungry rodents.

I'll let him know about this solution.

Tell him not save on the placement in the garage of them, we are using approx 5-10 of them as we had the same problem and so-far so good.

there is also another kind, those are green ones and they are bigger then mothballs and say are especially for rats but I have been searching for them but still can not find them.
