Police in Pua district of Nan, northern Thailand, were called after an altercation between a man and his wife ended up with him being stabbed.

 

In a garage at a house in Ban San Lao they found only bloodstains.

 

The husband who had been stabbed Aphiwut, 41, and the woman who attacked him, his wife Porn, 26, had both been taken to Crown Prince Pua Hospital.

 

There at the ER they interviewed Porn.

 

She had needed around a dozen stitches to wounds above her eyebrow and on her left cheek.

 

Aphiwut died at the hospital from a stab wound to the right side of the chest.

 

Porn told police that she had killed him with a kitchen knife that thereafter she pointed to at the scene. Police recovered the 28 cm long knife and took it into evidence, reported Thai Rath.

 

She said that she had a four year old son with Aphiwut.

 

Her husband was addicted to football betting and every time he lost he would take it out on her.

 

The previous night he'd lost and when she was preparing goods to sell that day and fixing breakfast he attacked her.

 

He used his bare fists but was also armed with a knife.

 

As their fight escalated in the garage area she rounded a vehicle, picked up the knife and made some wild slashes in the direction of her husband.

 

She caught him in the chest and he fell; she never believed it would end like this.

That makes a change , wife kills husband , I would say she was in the right ,

you keep getting the sh!t beat out of you because he lost the bet.you are

only going to take so much....

not like the men who kill their wives for simplest of reasons.

Yes, he's a loser!

She could have easily have left him. Killing is a very drastic resolve. She should get life in the monkey house for her knife attack.

For all we know he was completely innocent of any wrongdoing.

So she was the gambler and beat her husband up whenever she lost ,

Why do woman stay with men who beat them up? You hear stories in the UK oh he beat me for years !! I would be out the door the first time he touched me.

Kids and nowhere else to live/money for rent ? the UK has a lot more help for people in this situation than Thailand.

What you're suggesting ( an eye for an eye ) would lead to a completely lawless society full of violence.

 

Let me make this clear, i don't think hitting women is acceptable but killing people in revenge ( for anything ) is not the answer.

Society full of violence , that's what is happening right now all over the World,

There are lots of really evil people out there ,rape ,kill children , serial killers,

mass murderers and their ilk ,in my opinion they deserve to die, you don't ,OK

I always bet on Thai women using a knife (or machete), because even in trivial arguments that's what they do. Surely I'm not the only guy on this forum who's had a woman pull a knife on him over nothing?

Because that envy he displays is read by her as a evidence of love.

 

Also, the high feels a lot higher when things start so low.

From some of the ongoing comments in the Forums.  One would think that violent acts don’t happen in Thailand.  Only in the Western world. 
All these stories of violent acts that happen in Thailand must be some mistake.  They must have happened some place else.

That's a bit perverse as what I assume was ment is it's the go to lie for some woman when they find themselves in a precarious situation (women can be the abusers often are). Well if beating her was a conclusion of loosing then he must have obviously had one win 5 years ago......

So, he was a sore loser.

Now he is a dead loss.
