Popular Post Andy F
I was over 20 years sober in AA when I succumbed to sex addiction. Thankfully, I didnt drink but I went on a massive dry drunk. I became so unwell acting out with sex addiction that I had to redo the 12 steps again in the SLAA program https://slaafws.org/ I hope you like the blog about this aspect of the spiritual illness https://aaforagnostics.com/blog/sex-addiction/ 1 1

Popular Post Tazmo
Addiction is a disease that needs treatment, then with rehabilitation you can live without suffering. Similar to a Diabetic having to make readjustments. ” Rock Bottom “ is when most seek help. Treatment usually involves relatives and education. Cross Addictions often occur, one may stop opiates but switch to alcohol and Vice versa, or switch to sex; gambling; internet; All related to dopamine levels in our brain, eg increases with exercise, a more acceptable option. Levels are said to be low in addicts, whereas Others may overindulge and get away with it. May not hit rock bottom but end up with cirrhosis of the liver. Liver Units in the UK are full. Or syphillis In the case of sex addiction. 3

If alcoholics admit that rigorous honesty is the only thing thats going to help them get well, then sadly, they wont be making much progress with the "spiritual malady" acting out on sex and love addicition

Drinking, rarely open a 2nd beer (490ml), the past 15 ish years. Drinking was never a major problem, as just a hobbyist vs lifestyle. Days past, when had a few, that's when choice to fill the SA addiction may have not been the best. As stated, lucky & unscathed.
