Rishi Sunak has said he acted "decisively" in sacking Nadhim Zahawi as chairman of the Conservative Party yesterday following a row over his tax affairs.

Speaking in Country Durham at the launch of his government's emergency care plan, the prime minister defended his handling of situation and stressed his commitment to "integrity" and the need to follow proper processes.

It’s a bit of a worry.

The  clearly doesn’t know what it means to ‘act decisively’.

Weak, ineffective and hesitant.

The haters will always hate.

The guy makes the right decision and still you have to make barbed comments.

I guess it is just easier to be a perpetual whiner!

He capitulated after refusing to make the right decision, and it transpires he had forewarning of the problems with Zahawi before he appointed him - right decisions?!

The time for Sunak to make the right decision re Zahawi was a long time ago. He failed at that.
