Popular Post webfact 161300
Cap: Fancy watch! Daily News reported that the Lumpini police in downtown Bangkok returned a very expensive Richard Mille watch to a Vietnamese tourist who lost it in a ride hailing cab the very same day. The RM011 series chronometer is worth US $200,000 with the media putting that at 6,544,000 baht. The tourist told police it had slipped off his wrist in a Toyota Fortuner he had used to return to his hotel after a trip to Asiatique the Riverfront. Police managed to contact the driver who had the watch. Station chief Pol Col Nimit Nuphonthong said that the tourist was thrilled to be reunited with his property so quickly. The driver told them that he had found it on the back seat after taking a subsequent passenger to Suthisan. He planned to return it next morning but the Lumpini police contacted him first. For the second time this week the Lumpini police referred to their "Smart Safety Zone 4.0" CCTV system helping with the resolution of a case. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2023-02-03 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. StayinThailand2much 6903
Once more, just in time to make one forget the news about shakedowns... Strange (and lucky) how these happy events, involving the BiB, always happen only days after 'bad news'. Also, lucky that earlier (extortion) news weren't about millions, or the returned watch this time would have to be worth a billion baht... swm59nj 1472
The story could have been published to shed a more positive light on the police. Nothing unusual about that. And if it being possibly fake. If it was I would think the facts and descriptions in the story would be more general. In nature. Not so specific. About why a person would just wear an expensive watch anywhere. Well I guess you would have to own one. To have the mentality of where and how. And if you do have the means to own one. Its just a normal everyday watch to you. But also I would think if a watch just slipped off the person would notice it. Either feeling it or noticing it

Sydebolle 6199
Ha, ha, ha, ha ............ what a co-incident. The RPT is getting its backside properly seared and some will be sacrificed for good measure so the highway robbery can go on. On this particular article I heard a most challenging comment. It was unknown to the commenter, that General (sleeping bag) Prawit also had Vietnamese citizenship ........... Every day is school day 😉

MrJ2U 6004
"RTP good news: Lumpini cops return 6.5 million baht Richard Mille watch that fell off Viet tourist's wrist in a taxi".
