Car ablaze in NE: Police suggest mystery owner may have been abducted and murdered

Muang Udon Thani police were alerted by rescue services at 9.30 pm last night after local people in the road leading to Khum Phasuk in Udon Thani, NE Thailand, reported seeing a car ablaze.

 

Fire services extinguished the blaze but it completely destroyed a white Mitsubishi Mirage.

The owner is a woman called Suphaporn, from Udon Thani, who was nowhere to be found, reported Siam Rath.

 

Locals reported hearing the sound of gunfire before the fire.

Amornpetch, 51, said he heard what he thought was the sound of a transformer exploding repeatedly.

Police said they fear that the female owner of the car could have been abducted and murdered.
