Daily News continued to report on the execution murder of a Hmong family of five at a ginger farm in Tak, north west Thailand earlier this week.

Some 50 officers from the Region 6 police and Wang Chao police are involved in the hunt.

The murderer or murderers remain at large.

One of several Myanmar workers at the ginger farm still in the area was taken to give evidence to the police by a phu yai ban. The elderly couldn't speak Thai so an interpreter was used.

Other workers in the area said they don't know what happened.

Seven workers at the farm had been there for three years.

Three have disappeared.

Police are still working on the assumption that the murders were related to a dispute about wages.

ASEAN NOW notes that Tak province borders Myanmar and the area around Mae Sot district is often the site for illegal crossing into Thailand by migrants working in Thailand.

Investigations continue into this disturbing case.
