One Young Member of the “Wild Boar” Youth Football Team Who Was Rescued From Thai Cave Passes Away in the UK

 

One of the 12 famous “Wild Boar” football team members who were rescued after getting stuck in Thailand’s Tham Luang Cave for 17 days in 2018 has passed away from an unknown cause while studying in the United Kingdom.

Two Omicron XBB.1.5 cases found in Thailand

The Thai Medical Sciences Department has confirmed two cases of COVID XBB.1.5, a hybrid of Omicron BJ.1 and BM.1.1.1 sub-variants, but there is no information to suggest that the hybrid is more serious than other sub-variants, said Dr. Supakit Sirilak, the head of the department, today (Wednesday).

A THAI woman who is now an American citizen and is wanted in Michigan for a hit-and-run that killed a Michigan State University student on Jan. 1, 2023 said after being apprehended that she is ready to return to US to face legal consequences, Matichon newspaper said.

Amnesty is not Thailand’s Answer

Last week, Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha rejected the proposal for a blanket amnesty bill aimed at political reconciliation. This idea came from an earlier suggestion by Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan’s former assistant, Paisal Puechmongkol, that the Prawit-led Palang Pracharath Party may advocate for such a bill.
