Beautician goes to the police after eye surgery from "Thailand's #1 ophthalmologist" goes wrong

A 45 year old lady who is a businesswoman with a beauty clinic went to the Consumer Protection Division police with her lawyer "Pong" after surgery to correct the corners of her eyes went awry.

"A" - behind sunglasses and black mask and hat - was armed with before and after evidence.

She told the police that she had seen adverts on almost every TV channel about Thailand's number one ophthalmologist who had done tens of thousands of surgeries to make people's eyes look beautiful.

The doctor in question has a surgery in the Ekkamai area of Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok. The doctor was not named.

Back in August of 2021 A had decided to have surgery with the doctor noting she had a muscle weakness.

A surgery was done and Botox was then used but things just got worse.

She looked like she was sleeping with her eyes open and had scars.

A corrective procedure didn't work either.

Daily News said that many other disgruntled customers are going to make complaints about the Ekkamai practice.

exactly why people should be free to express opinions about proceedures/services they receive from businesses provided of course they don't lie

 

they should also have the option to sue for damages and compensation - these people should stand over their work and claims, they must be open to scrutiny and not hide behind defamation laws to cover up incompetence

As he is supposed to be the # 1 eye surgeon I don't think it will take long for his identity to be know on social media circles.

People will cancel appointments i their droves if they have any sense.

I recall there being past cases of widely advertised and promoted Botox "doctors" here who, after being in business for a long while, finally end up being arrested and found to not be MD doctors at all, but instead, former clinic staff who went into business for themselves.... and had been treating and injecting patients with no license or qualifications whatsoever.

 

Regulation and enforcement here are non-existent!
