Biden healthy, vigorous and fit for job, says doctor

US President Joe Biden remains healthy, vigorous and fit to successfully execute his duties, according to the White House physician.

Doctors gave the 80-year-old a three-hour physical examination on Thursday at a hospital in the Washington area.

It marked Mr Biden's second extensive physical exam since he took office in January 2021.

America's oldest ever president, he is widely expected soon to announce he will seek a second term in office.

Thursday's physical provides a detailed insight into Mr Biden's medical history and his current health and fitness. It did not include a cognitive test.

"The President remains fit for duty, and fully executes all of his responsibilities without any exemptions or accommodations," Dr Kevin O'Connor wrote on Thursday in a memo.

During that exam, O'Connor did not publicly reveal whether Biden underwent any cognitive tests.

 

Hmmm.

 

I would assume he took a cognitive test, I think he owes the American people that much after so many times he looses his train of thought, forgets names and so on when he speaks.

But seriously, Biden's issues are more to do with his mental health than physical. That is why a majority of Democrats want to dump him in 2024.

What exactly is more solid than infrastructure or chipmaking plants?  What is empty about 'lowering healthcare costs" or "lowering health care costs"?  When I see replies like yours, that seem to be operating on automatic pilot, I have to wonder if it's a bot that's generating them. My mistake. I wrongly assumed you were being sarcastic. It's clear now you weren't.

Anyway, we can all agree that Biden has chalked up lots of very solid accomplishments during his first time. And this despite a razor thin majority in the Senate.Very impressive!

I do wonder, though, why you even had to ask. Were you not aware of these achievements and others? Or, as a Biden supporter, did just want to make sure that more people knew of the great things accomplished so far during his administration?

Biden could have took the easy MoCA test and will have little problem drawing a clock, copying a picture of a cube and identifying pictures of animals. Seem he resisted that temptation and stuck to doctors advice.

I am sure the President was far too busy to bother with the 10 minutes the Montreal Cognitive Assessment takes....  Did his doctor advise him not to take it? Physically he is in very good shape for an 80 year old man, but that is not the issue.  Presidents have been effective even when wheelchair bound.   His cognitive abilities are the problem.

The only thing keeping Democrats "off the record" about replacing Biden is the looming and disastrous presence of VP Harris.  If Biden gets dumped, the natural choice for nominee is Harris. Yet she is even less popular than Biden! Plus she has a Magical Melanin Forcefield (with the Double X Chromosone option) that shields her from any attempt to defenestrate her.
