Hello everyone read all you'r comments and they have been very helpful. I have questions I was hoping a few of you could answer. Well first off I met a very nice Issan girl recently and I suppose i am heading in the same direction as many of you did. I am wanting to know how long it takes for me to get her a visa to come and visit the U.S? Also can they stop her from getting one? If so how do I avoid this? Any other info on Issan women would be much appreciated as well. Thanks

I just posted my experience. I believe if the girl has never left Thailand and the boyfriend lives in the USA it will be very difficult for her to get a tourist visa.

The USA will not give her a visitors visa. The only way to get her here is with a fiance or a marriage visa.

I know lots of thai females (mostly through work) who get visitors visas for tourism/business for the USA.

To the OP, what is the applicant's personal circumstances ? Some thais will find it hard/impossible to get visas, for others it is as trivial as filling in the form.

If it's a tourist visa she is applying for and actually qualifies (which I don't think so based on the info provided in your post)...time-wise does not take very long. Get a PIN, schedule the appt, fill out the forms, provide her documentation at the appt and she'll either be approved or denied at the end of the appt. If approved, her passport will be sent back to her within 4 days. Took my wife less than two weeks from signing up for a PIN to getting her passport back with a valid visa...however, we both live together in CM.

If you're serious about her, consider the fiance visa route which will take longer but a better chance of getting approved. Good luck.
